The Family: A Proclamation to the World - Paragraph Eight

Hello Children,

Please pay close attention to this paragraph. Know what you are responsible and accountable for. 

"WE WARN that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets." Heavenly Father knows each of us. He knows what we are thinking and feeling. If you are having bad thoughts, how do you think He would feel? He isn't happy when we are not being kind. We need to constantly be showing love and kindness to those around us. It's not always easy, but trying is the first step. If we are taking care of our responsibilities we are making good choices that help bring us closer to Him. We each need to do our parts and be examples to others outside of the church. Satan is trying to hurt families and destroy them. We need to always be aware of this. We will each be held accountable before God based on the choices we each make. 

Families can be together forever. We know this is true and know that following Him will allow us to be with our family for eternity.
